What's On At The Hub 25/01/2024

Hi Everyone,

We will be closed tomorrow Friday, January 26th. We hope everyone has a great long weekend and we can't wait to see you back at the Hub.

Next week is a busy week - our first measurement day is on, as well as the first Be Confident session of the year. Art Class with Bella will also return. Keep and eye out for Our Ageless edition for Feb-March coming out as well.

Noongar Language Classes Returns

Boonaroo season is here! Characterised by orange hues and the peak of summer heat here in WA. Traditionally, it's a period for living in coastal and riverside areas, as well as fishing in estuaries. Freshwater foods and seafood were integral to the Noongar people's diet during this season. It also marks the season of white flowers, with various gums like jarrah, marri, and ghost gums in full bloom.

We are so excited to have Kalyakoorl back in the Hub this year. Celebrate the Boonaroo season with Wadjak Balladong Noongar man Dylan Collard and Jayden Boundry, as they take you through a journey of the language and culture of the Noongar people. The course is suitable for new and returning learners. This is a great way to support and get to know your local communities and learn the language and culture of the land we call home.

New cycle starts from the 14th of February. Classes will run every Wednesday 5.30pm (beginners) and 7.00 pm (intermediate).

Village Hub members get a great discount on this course as well, so give it a shot!
