Dont't forget that the Neighbour Day Movie Matinee is on this Sunday 24 March! Bring along your friends, family, and of course, your neighbours to the Village Hub for a wonderful afternoon to celebrate belonging in your community as we watch 'A Man Called Otto'.

Community Dinner




Community Dinner is also on next week on Wednesday 27 March. With Easter around the corner, Sally has set up the menu to celebrate Easter with some dinner favourites!


If you havent booked your place yet, don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to share a meal with friends and neighbours. You can register to join in the cooking from 4.00pm and eat for free or if you are unable to join in the cooking. Come along for dinner at 5.30pm and pay what you feel.

Be Confident - Looking After Your Feet



Dr. Julian Boo will be doing a special Be Confident session on foot health on Wednesday, March 27 at 11.15am.


Poor foot health can impede on your overall life - preventative health is important as anything in terms of your feet. You don't want to miss this amazing talk. Julian will answer all your questions and show you the best things you can do to make sure your foot health is in great condition as you grow older.

Noongar Language Classes - Djiran Starting April




New cycle of Noongar Language Classes with Wadjak Balladong Noongar men Dylan Collard and Jayden Boundry starts next month from the 10th of April - 8th of May. This course runs for 5 weeks and celebrates Djiran, the Noongar season during April and May.




Djiran is represented by the colour green as it is the time of the year where the cooler weather begins.


Djran season sees a break in the really hot weather with cool nights that bring a dewy early mornings. The winds will also change, especially in their intensity, with light breezes generally swinging from southerly directions. It is a time of red flowers, especially from the red flowering gum, as well as the smaller and more petite flowers of the summer flame.



Djiran starts from the 10th of April. Classes will run every Wednesday 5.30pm (beginners) and 7.00 pm (intermediate) and is a 5 week cycle.

WAAPA Concert Visit


Each year, WAAPA students, staff and special guest artists participate in an amazing selection of performances. WAAPA has a diverse array of concerts and performances for the coming months. The Warana Music Award (Classical) is prize is awarded to the best concerto performer in a WAAPA classical music program as judged at the annual Warana Music Award competition.


Join Anita for a FREE concert with to watch the Warana Prize Concert 1. You will meet at Village Hub at 10am and travel by 960 bus to WAAPA.  You can either buy lunch from the Grindhouse Cafe, or take a picnic lunch to eat there.  The doors open at 1pm and concert starts at 1.10pm.

Housekeeping Reminder This week we noticed dirty water glasses being left in the hall after classes. Please remember to put your used dishes into the dishwasher and keep our space tidy for your fellow Village Hub members.
