What's On At The Hub 19/02/2024

Hi Everyone,

We hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead. We look forward to seeing you at the Hub - we have a lot planned for the coming weeks, and we also have lots of volunteering oppurtunities available. Village Hub is actively shaped by you and your contributions are invaluable.

Container for change bins are also now available again for recycling of bottles and cans. This bin is located near the parking lot.

Neighbour Day Movie Matinee

Neighbour Day is on Sunday 24 March. This is a day to remind us of the part all of us play in building connection and reducing loneliness by being a part of the community you live in. Having a sense of belonging in community can improve overall wellbeing, and Neighbour Day is a reminder of how the connections we make with the people around us can affect our lives for the better.

For Neighbour Day this year, we want to celebrate neighbourly connections in Victoria Park with a Movie Matinee. Celebrate the spirit of community and connection on Neighbour Day with us in the Village Hub! We are hosting a special Movie Matinee featuring the heartwarming film 'A Man Called Otto', starring Tom Hanks. This film beautifully illustrates the joy and importance of having caring neighbors who uplift and support one another through life's ups and downs.

The event is free and there will be complimentary popcorn, drinks, and snacks for all. So bring along your friends, family, and of course, your neighbours to the Village Hub for a wonderful afternoon.

Furthermore, if you would like to get involved, we would love for you to volunteer to help us make this event truly special. Whether you're lending a hand with setup, assisting with refreshments, or simply spreading the word, every contribution makes a difference in creating a vibrant and inclusive neighbourhood.
