Be Connected - Setting Up and Using Emails

Join us next week at Be Connected for a comprehensive session on emails. This session will take place Wednesday, February 14 from 11.15am-12.15pm.

While there are numerous ways to communicate online, sending an email closely resembles sending a traditional letter and ensures swift delivery to its intended recipient. In this session, you will gain insights into how free email services function, learn to set up and manage your email accounts effectively, tackle issues such as blocking nuisance emails and reporting spam, unsubscribe from newsletters, and master tasks like changing passwords or canceling email accounts. Additionally, you'll also learn how to identify and avoid common email scams.

Vicki will be holding this session. You can register below:

Sustainability and Your Wellbeing

Join us for an engaging Be Confident session with Anne Pettit on Wednesday, February 28, running from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm. Anne will explore the concept of sustainable living and its benefits for your overall wellbeing.

During the session, Anne will provide tips about how to incorporate sustainable practices into daily life. By making small changes, you can have positive impact on the environment and a healthier, happier you!

Anne is our resident gardener at Connect Victoria Park. Beyond tending our gardens, she promotes sustainable living within our community. Anne collaborates with Flavia to host Gazebo sessions and assists members in decluttering and recycling efforts.

 Can You Help The Hub?

  • We are looking for a volunteer to lead our kitchen for Community Lunch. Christina has been running the kitchen for community lunches, but will not be available for two months. If you are interested in running the kitchen please give us a call or come in for a chat. Community lunches are volunteer-run initiatives and an important part of our community.

  • Our Community Dinners will be back for the months of February and March, so please come along to cook and dine.
