We would love all of our members to join in on the fun at our Sundowner next week on Friday, 14 June at 4.30pm. Bring a plate along to share and enjoy the soulful blues tunes from the amazing band Blues Trio RCR. Come along to make this a great success and share an amazing afternoon with your fellow Hub members. Tickets are only $5 and your first drink is free.

Voluntary Assisted Dying Information Session


VAD became a legal end of life choice for eligible Western Australians from 1 July 2021.


Come join us for an informative session on voluntary assisted dying at the Hub next week on Friday, June 14. South Metropolitan Health Service and Tender Funerals, visit to keep you informed about about eligibility, key-points and processes. This event will provide you with valuable information and insights on this important topic. Whether you have questions or just want to learn more, this session is open to all.

Try Our New Yin and Hatha Yoga Class!


On Fridays at 1pm we have a brand new Hatha and Yin yoga class led by Natasha Tay.

 

Natasha is a passionate yoga teacher, reiki practitioner and circle facilitator who has been teaching Hatha Yoga for over 15 years in both Melbourne and Perth. Since 2016 she has expanded her training into Yin Yoga. She has completed over 500 hours of teacher training and advanced teacher training whilst also traveling overseas and interstate delve deeper into her own studies.

 

 

The poses in the class can be varied to suit all bodies and capabilities, thus these classes accomodate all levels of practitioners from beginners to more experienced.

Be Connected - Catch Up TV and Streaming Apps


Nex week on Wednesday, June 12 we have out Be Connected session, where you will learn about online video entertainment with Vicki. Learn how to watch a wide variety of videos, movies, TV shows, and even live TV online. This session is perfect for anyone looking to get the most out of their smart devices and discover the best streaming apps available - both free and paid.

Would You Like To Be Part Of An Evening Walking Group?


There is currenty quite a bit of interest in forming a walking group that starts in the evening - around 4pm. If this is something you are interested in please email me on admin@connectvictoriapark.org or give me a ring.

 

Next week's Community Lunch on Tuesday, June 11 will be Curried Apricot Chicken with Baby Potatoes, Carrot Rings and Green Beans followed by Pavlova.

Special Events Coming Up In June







 


  • We're looking for volunteers to help us out with our fundraising event. Disco Bingo will be a fun night bingo - with a lively twist. It will merge quiz rounds and bingo rounds with the energy of the disco floor meeting the fun of bingo and a quiz night, and we need people to help us out to make it a success!

  • If anyone can help one of our members assemble a kitchen benchtop please give us a ring. Please message admin@connectvictoriapark.org or give us call if you'd like to volunteer.
