Physical Wellness
Physical Wellness, is about more than just avoiding sickness. It's about actively maintaining a healthy body and engaging in activities that support physical well-being.
Physical health isn't confined to traditional exercise routines. It's about finding enjoyable ways to keep active. Our approach emphasizes a variety of activities that cater to diverse interests and fitness levels.
While The Hub offers a number of traditional exercise classes, like Active For Life, and more specialised classes like Pilates and Tai Chi, we also have included a varied offering to tempt everyone into moving more. Footy Fitness offers men in the community not only an opportunity to increase fitness,
but to train as part of a team with members of the West Coast Eagles. Dance classes like Line Dancing, Zumba and Ballroom Fit offer more than just a chance to moves; they contribute to spatial memory and promote nerve growth factors. Even less active classes like Crafty Friends and Art Classes aren't just about creativity; they stimulate the mind through intricate hand movements and engagement of nerve sensations.
Our Be Connected program provides opportunities for both physical and mental engagement. Be Connected workshops, bridge the digital gap, showing that technology can be a tool for maintaining an active lifestyle.
Research consistently underscores the positive impact of physical activity on mental health, regardless of age. By incorporating physical wellness into daily life, we aim not only to enhance physical health but also to boost mood, reduce stress, and improve cognitive function.
Prioritizing physical wellness pays off with increased energy levels, improved sleep, and an overall sense of well-being. These benefits become increasingly relevant as we age, emphasizing the importance of an active lifestyle in the journey of graceful ageing.
The Physical Dimension of Wellness is a vital part of the broader wellness framework. Engaging in the range of activities offered at the Village Hub is more than just a commitment to physical well-being; it's about forming connections, sharing experiences, and collectively contributing to a vibrant and holistic community atmosphere.
Embracing physical wellness is a practical step towards a fulfilling your active ageing journey.
