COMMUNITY HOUSING

Connect Community Housing is a registered Tier 3 provider of community and affordable housing to people 60 and over in Victoria Park and Bassendean.
 

Our mission is to collaborate with older tenants to increase their wellbeing and support their ageing in community. We manage our housing with the aim of creating a sense of security and belonging and an environment that brings pride and joy.

We believe appropriate housing is key for health and wellbeing as it provides not only security and stability, but autonomy and freedom to pursue other interests, keep connected and contributing to community. That's why right next door to our Housing in Vic Park, you will find our Village Hub.

Our Housing + Hub is unique: it offers tenants one-on-one support via Member Help Centre, mutual support through Ask a Member, and a wide range of activities and opportunities for social connection and healthy ageing. Most importantly, tenants have the chance to help shape a community of like-minded people interested in ageing successfully.

Connect is keenly aware of the current housing crisis and how acute it is for older people, especially older single women. We helped a group of women co-design and publish an Age-Friendly Rental Guide for Vic Park, Belmont, South Perth and Cannington.
