What's On At The Hub 25/10/2024

Hello Everyone,

Next week on Connect 60+ we have a session focused on Environmental wellness that will start at Harold Rossiter park (on Kent St) with a session of Tai Chi, followed by a wonderful Walk and Talk in Jirdarup Busland with Friends of Jirdarup. We will end the session with morning tea.

We are fortunate in Victoria Park to enjoy a remnant of pristine bushland, and all the life it contains, right in the middle of the Town. The Kensington Bushland is a protected Bushland Forever Site and part of the larger Jirdarup Precinct.

You can explore the health benefits of being in nature - A Harvard Health Study found that Nature has a calming effect that lowers bloodpressure, heart rate and the production of stress hormones after just 20 minutes. It also strengthens the immune system, which helps to keep you healthier and reduces the risk for Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Session is on Friday November 1st, at 9.00am. You can book below:

Sparkling Appreciation Evening

Following two popular wine tasting events, Gerry is back with another amazing wine tasting evening at the Hub. This time, he will share his knowledge of the world of sparkling wines. Sample a carefully curated selection of white and rose sparkling wines and discover the rich diversity within them just in time for the festive season!
