What's On At The Hub 22/04/25

Hello everyone,
It will be a short but power packed week with the start of our ' Stay on your Feet ' program, our new member-led Jam session , card making workshop with Anne and our regular classes. (See below for details.)

We will be closed on Easter Monday the 21st and Friday 25th of April for Anzac day. We will only be open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week.

We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter with your family, friends and community.

For those of you remembering loved ones who fought in any of the wars which have occurred since the First World War, including people currently serving in the armed forces, the Town of Victoria Park will hold a Dawn Service in Memorial Park on Albany Highway.

Vale Maida Brown

We are sad to announce the loss of Maida Brown a long-time Village Hub member who many of you will fondly remember. We know that Maida had a lot of friends here at the Hub and we would like to invite you to sign a card which will be sent to her family.

Please let us know at the desk if you would like to write a message.

Community Lunch Updates!

We are excited to announce that Community Lunch is returning! We'll be starting back up on the 29th of April, led by our new chef Amar and of course, our amazing group of volunteers. Amar is an experienced chef who has worked at many restaurants and pubs both in Perth and internationally. In addition, he's an incredibly community minded person, and we're excited to have him as part of the Hub's lunches.

We are looking for some additional volunteers to assist with community lunch. There are weekly, fortnightly, and monthly positions available. If you can assist, please let a Village Hub staff member know.

You can book now for the return of community lunch on the link below

New Member Group

Jam Session Wednesday 23rd 2.30-4pm

If you play a musical instrument and enjoy making music with other people, why not consider joining a new hub member-led activity group? Jamming is a spontaneous and fun way to create music with other people without the pressure of trying to play a set piece of music perfectly. We know that some members can play the UKelele and guitar but all instruments are welcome. Percussion instruments always add a bit of oomph to a jam session or you might even play the harmonica.

If you are interested, please speak to Hub member Gerard Siero or let us know at the front office.
