What's On At The Hub 3/1/2025

Hello Everyone,


We hope everyone has had a great Christmas and New Year. We'd like to wish a Happy New Year to you and best wishes for 2025 and we can't wait to see you next week. This year we've got some amazing events and courses at the Hub. We're starting January of with a fully funded Connect 60+ program with some great presenters and exciting workshops. We'll also be doing a Stay on Your Feet program for preventing falls later in the year, in addition to great sessions for our Be Confident and Be Connected series.

Class updates:


  • Ballroom Fit, Social Cycling, Line Dancing, Chair Yoga and Yoga with Natasha returns next week.

  • Please note that Yoga with Natasha on Fridays will now be on at 1.00pm.

  • Mateo will also be back with his Barbershop

  • Our member -led groups Mahjong, Crafty Friends, Coffee Club and Boards games will also be running next week.

  • Member Help Centre is also back - if you would like help with any tech issues please book.


 

Be Connected - Getting To Know The Village Hub App


Join Vicki on the 15th of January at 11.15am for the first Be Connected of the year! Be Connected is our free technology workshops taking place every first Wednesday of the month. This time, we'll be learning all about our amazing Village Hub App that’s on both Android and Apple. This year we’ve seen a lot of changes to registering for classes and events and the app makes it even easier!



With just a few clicks you can register for classes and  events, have easy access to what’s happening in the Hub and check your details and subscriptions and bookings. The app has a simple interface and user experience and with this session you can get on to it in no time!

 Connect 60+ - Register now!



Connect 60+ is the Village Hub’s seven - week,   evidence - based program for those 60+, focusing on maintaining independence, enhancing quality of life, and fostering community connection. Each week, our program explores one of ICAA’s seven dimensions of wellness—physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, social, environmental, and vocational—

through practical, interactive, and informative sessions.




Village Hub has been awarded a $20, 000 grant from CommBank Staff Foundation. This grant will fully fund Connect 60+ in 2025, allowing us to offer the sessions at no cost for participation throughout the year. 


First cycle starts January 24th . Register below!
