Hello Everyone,

First of all we'd like to thank everyone who came to our Christmas Lunch this week. Whether you were volunteering or just attending, we are so grateful that you are a part of our community. It is only with your involvement and love that we can create this amazing space.

What a year it's been! There have been so many changes and achievements, and we hope to build on our successes even more in 2025. As many of you might have heard, we were recipients of a $20,000 CommBank Staff Foundation Community Grant, which will allow us to make Connect 60+ more exciting. This also means that it will be fully funded for the year, so we'd like to encourage everyone to join in.

We have so much more coming up and 2025 is looking to be another exciting year.

From all of us - Ashlyn, Flavia, Kritika, Luke, Nazia, Pat, Paula, Peter, Sue and Vicki - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Boorloo Bridge Opening Event

If you're free this weekend there's a great event on the Sunday 22nd of Decmber from 5pm.

Head down to the opening of Boorloo Bridge!

The Boorloo Bridge, connecting Victoria Park with Heirisson Island and Point Fraser in the Perth CBD, will open to the public on Sunday, 22 December with a free twilight community event being held from 5pm on McCallum Park next to the bridge.

The family-friendly event will include live music, entertainers, market stalls, face painting, a petting zoo, and kids’ Christmas activities. A range of food trucks and a free sausage sizzle will also be on offer.

Over 17,000 LED lights will transform the bridge into a digital canvas with colours, imagery and messages which will illuminate this new landmark in a way never seen before in Perth.

Stay Connected and Active

Connect Victoria Park is committed to providing a supportive and engaging environment for our community. We offer a wide range of activities and programs designed to promote social connections, physical well-being, and lifelong learning. Don't miss out on our weekly classes!
