Hello everyone,
We hope you have had a great week. Easter is nearly here so don't forget our Intergenerational Easter Craft workshop this Thursday. Come along with your grandchildren to make an Easter gift and share some precious memories.
We will be closed on Good Friday the 18th, and Easter Monday the 21st of April.
We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter with your family, friends and community.
Vale Maida Brown
We are sad to announce the loss of Maida Brown a long-time Village Hub member who many of you will fondly remember. We know that Maida had a lot of friends here at the Hub and we would like to invite you to sign a card which will be sent to her family.
Please let us know at the desk if you would like to write a message.
Community Lunch Updates!
We are excited to announce that Community Lunch is returning! We'll be starting back up on the 29th of April, led by our new chef Amar and of course, our amazing group of volunteers. Amar is an experienced chef who has worked at many restaurants and pubs both in Perth and internationally. In addition, he's an incredibly community minded person, and we're excited to have him as part of the Hub's lunches.

We are looking for some additional volunteers to assist with community lunch. There are weekly, fortnightly, and monthly positions available. If you can assist, please let a Village Hub staff member know.
You can email us at village@connectvictoriapark.org
We'd like to thank everyone for engaging with us in the process of restarting community lunches. Your feedback has helped us drive our efforts to bring community lunches back. We have listened, and with a few changes (but still the same amazing lunch it has always been), we look forward to have everyone of you - our lunch regulars, newcomers and volunteers - back for a buzzing Tuesday afternoon.
Our lunches are an important part of the Hub, so please join us to share a meal, conversation and be part of our community.
Easter Intergenerational Craft Workshop
Thursday, April 17, 2.00-4.00 pm
Have you ever wanted to do something different and unique with your grandchildren in a creative and fun environment? If so this workshop is an excellent opportunity to make some Easter Arts and Crafts, share your skills with your grandchildren, and also learn some new skills from them. As well as making crafts and being creative, you and your grandchildren will have precious memories of quality time spent together. If you don't have grand children available, you can come along on your own. It will be a lot of fun.

Note: Due to the Easter Craft workshop, The Card making session will not be on next week.
Stay On Your Feet
Thursday @ 1pm, 24th April - 29 May

Just two weeks left for our Stay on Your Feet program! Don't miss out - this is a great course designed to equip you with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to reduce your risk of falling. This program will include three informative workshops and three balance and strength classes. We'll be covering different topics every week so we encourage everyone to attend the full 6 weeks.
Workshops will include balance and strength classes with Hannes, in addition to talks by optometrists, Injury Matters and podiatrists.
