Our Hub is all about active and positive ageing and we wanted to share this short film with you - it captures the wonder and beauty of finding yourself as your grow older, told through the evolutionary tale of Don Herbison-Evans, a man who studies butterflies then experiences a human metamorphosis on the dance floor.

If this inspires you to tell you own story, the ‘Life in Pictures’ short film competition is now open and film makers of all ages are invited to submit films of up to three minutes in length, exploring themes related to ageism or promoting positive messages about ageing. This is a collaborative effort between the Department of Communities, arts organisations, and the community aimed at addressing ageism and promoting positive attitudes towards ageing.

Please give us a call or email us if you're interested.

We believe our Village Hub Community, as individuals and as groups, have a trove of diverse experinces and perspectives wiating to be shared with the world.  By coming together to tell your stories, you not only celebrate the richness of your community but also embrace your unique voices and experiences, and tell your story, your way.

Pre-Paid Funerals - Are They The Right Choice For You?

Pre-paid funerals have gained popularity over the past few years. A Pre-Paid Funeral is one where the family and Funeral Director establish the funeral requisites and services that they wish to contract and pay for now, for provision at a future date.

There are many things to consider while organising a Pre-Paid Funeral, or if you plan to get one. In this Be Confident session, Consumer Rights WA will talk you through the pitfalls of a Pre-paid funeral and funeral insurance. The experts will give you more insight into the considerations you need to have of yourself and your circumstances in choosing if this is the right choice for you.
