The Curtain Raiser Walking Footy is happening tomorrow 3rd May at Optus Stadium at 10.30am. We wish the guys the best of Luck!
This week at the hub we have book club on Monday. Be Connected on Wednesday will look at QR Codes and week three of Stay on Your Feet will look at building Strength with Hannes.
Connect 60+ will explore the environmental dimension of wellness focusing on sustainability. Our new member groups continue to flourish. (See below for details)

QR codes are a big part of modern life and can be found nearly everywhere including restaurants, product packaging and even bus stops. Learn what a QR code is , how it works and how to scan it.

Stay On Your Feet
Thursday @ 1pm, 24th April - 29 May

Join us for week three of this great course designed to equip you with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to reduce your risk of falling. This program will include three informative workshops and three balance and strength classes. We'll be covering different topics every week so we encourage everyone to attend the full 6 weeks.
Workshops will include balance and strength classes with Hannes, in addition to talks by optometrists, Injury Matters and podiatrists.
Falls are one of the leading causes of injury among older adults, but the good news is—they are preventable! Learn how by registering below:
Community Lunch Updates!
Community Lunch started again on the 29th of April, led by our new chef Amar and of course, our amazing group of volunteers. Join us on May 6th at 12pm for Butter Chicken followed by Chocolate cake with Strawberries and cream. Yummy!

Creative Crafts Workshops
Thursdays, 2:30 pm
Join Village Hub member Anne, as she explores the world of creative crafts each week. These workshops allow you to express and develop your creativity. Creating craft projects exercise your dexterity and fine motor skills, and they can also contribute to mindfulness.

Join us to explore the Environmental dimension of Wellness with a focus on sustainability. Environment plays a big part in our overall health. Spending time in nature can reduce negative feelings and anxiety. It can also improve memory.
Hub member Gerard Siero is passionate about environmental issues and sustainability. He will talk about simple actions we can take in everyday life to reduce waste, conserve resources , and make more eco- friendly choices.
