What's On At The Hub 20/09/2024

Hello Everyone,

We hope everyone has a lovely long weekend. We are closed on Monday September 23, but will be back on Tuesday with a busy week ahead. We hope you can join us at our Active Ageing Expo we look forward to Active Ageing Week from 30 September - 4 October 2024. Active Ageing Week, launched by the International Council on Active Ageing in 2003, is an annual campaign celebrating the positive aspects of ageing. It highlights the abilities and contributions of older adults, and role models who lead the way.

Ou Village Hub is all about challenging negative perceptions of ageing by demonstrating that older adults can thrive in all aspects of life—physical, social, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, and environmental—regardless of age or health status. This is what Active Ageing week is all about - the promotion of wellness activities and exercise in a safe, supportive environment, encouraging healthy, active lifestyles as we age.

Discover What Active Ageing Is All About!

For this year's Active Ageing week, we have an open day planned at the Village Hub.

This expo will feature a variety of activities and specials, including the introduction of our new Connect 60+ program.

Come down to try some of our popular classes like Active For Life with Hannes, Pilates with Monique and Zumba with DJ and enjoy the demonstrations done by our amazing instructors. You can also enjoy a performance by Mackie Street Singers and readings by Chapters as well as explore other great things happening around Victoria Park.

This event is proudly supported by Hannah Beazley.

We look forward to seeing you there and sharing all the wonderful opportunities available at the Village Hub and in the Town of Victoria Park! RSVP below:
