Hello everyone,
We hope you're keeping well! There's lots happening at the Village Hub this month—from activities and events to volunteer opportunities. Whether you're joining a group, popping in for a cuppa, or just saying hello, we’d love to see you around.
Vale Jack
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our member Jack Beere, who was an important part of our Wednesday Mahjong group. He was also a founding member of the Victoria Park Men’s Shed and a cherished member of the wider community. He will be deeply missed.
Out N About - Amaze Miniature Village
Wednesday 3 September Bookings Close Soon
Miniature Village, Mazes and Minigolf + Three Course Lunch at Cicerello's in Mandurah

Join your Village Hub community for a bus trip to Amaze miniature village. We will start a delightful morning tea at the beautifully restored Amaze Miniature Village (formerly Abingdon Miniature Village), a unique attraction nestled within four acres of stunning, manicured gardens.
Explore an enchanting world of scale model buildings and railways, featuring miniature replicas of historic landmarks from the UK, Germany, and the charming town of Abingdon—the oldest continually inhabited town in England. Wander through landscaped gardens past miniature steam and diesel trains, canals, locks, and an ornamental lake on a self-guided tour that’s full of nostalgia and detail.
Your entry includes access to the miniature village, hedge mazes, and a round of mini golf. Afterwards, enjoy free time on the Mandurah Foreshore, where you can relax and purchase lunch at one of the many local eateries.
This is a must-see experience that combines history, artistry, and fun—perfect for a memorable day out!

Would You Like to Volunteer at the Hub?

We're looking for volunteers to join us as Village Hub Hosts.
What does a Village Hub Host do? The role of our Village Hub Host is to welcome and communicate with members, visitors, and new faces offering a supportive, inclusive environment where people feel connected. It also includes helping out with things like admin, answering phones, greeting visitors and members, and keeping the Hub welcoming and member-run. Our amazing Village Hub Hosts have also been helping out with supporting small projects around the Hub. If you have skills or passions you'd like to share, we'd love to know more about what you could do as Village Hub Host.
It’s a great way to get more involved in our Village Hub community. We're looking for people to do 3-4 hour shifts, and we're flexible on time and days.
If you're keen to contribute, we’d love to hear from you! You can talk to Kritika or Vicki anytime about it.
