Watercolour and Pencil Drawing Course

Build your watercolour skills or learn the basics of pencil drawing in this 9 week
course facilitated by Verena Marmion.

Flat hake brush 1.5 inch



Bring in tube paints. Winsor and Newton or Art Spectrum watercolour paint is recommended.
Students may prefer the less expensive student quality or another brand of paint. This palette
can be developed in time.
Cobalt blue
Permanent rose
Raw sienna
Ultramarine blue
Alizarin Crimson
Burnt Sienna
Cerulean Blue
Cadmium yellow
Cadmium Red


2b led pencil
Masking tape
2 Water Jars
1 large 300gm sheet of watercolour paper (Saunders or Fabriano)
Wooden board or back of a canvas board larger than the size of your paper
Tupperware container approximately 10-15 cm high to lean your board on an angle
Welled plastic palette with sealed lid and mixing area in centre (Art Spectrum recommended)
Tissues or paper towels


Pencil Drawing

Quality coloured pencils (Faber Castell, Lyra, Derwent, Staedtler ergo-soft)

Participants may choose the watercolour pencils and bring a soft brush

Pencil sharpener

HB pencil

110gsm A4 pad of Cartridge paper
